Before you can post voice questions and answers, you will need to give HiNative access to your device's microphone. You will receive a popup asking for permission the first time you attempt to post a voice answer, but you can also give permission by going to your device's Settings > Privacy > Microphone and turning on the option for HiNative.
＜Voice/Video questions＞
- Tap the [Ask] button on the bottom of your screen and select the template you'd like to use.
- Tap the microphone icon/video icon at the bottom of your screen.
- Tap the button to start recording, and tap the button again to finish.
- Tap the play button on the audio file that appears to preview your voice/video question. You can tap the "x" to delete it and record another.
- Tap the [Post] button in your screen to post your question.
＜Voice/Video answers＞
- Tap the options icon (+) next to the answer form at the bottom of a question's page.
- Tap the microphone icon/video icon.
- Tap the button to start recording, and tap the button again to finish.
- Tap the play button on the file that appears to preview your voice/video question. You can tap the "x" to delete it and record another.
- Tap the orange arrow to post your answer.
Audio recording time
- Web : Up to 60 seconds
- iOS/Android : Up to 10 seconds / Up to 60 seconds for Premium users
Video recording time
- Web/Android/iOS : Up to 10 seconds
